Young Spirit

I look upon my land so plain,
But to me it is the same.
A rich paradise full of wonders,
Full of adventures and full of plunders.
Under my paws I can feel the land,
Feeling the freedom that is so grand.
My ears can hear every sound,
Of my land and where it’s bound.
Familiar scents reach me and I breathe a sigh,
I look up at my birds wheel in my sky.
I raise my head and to my land I cry,
My strength and emotions into my sky.
I hear my echo and a faint reply.
It is then I come to realize,
That this land is not mine.
I share a land, so divine.
